Information Needed for an Effective Search When you request a search a librarian will interview you briefly about your topic. The information requested is considered confidential and is sought only to clarify what kind of material is being sought. Topics the librarian may address include: purpose of search (research, publication, education, patient care) keywords, synonyms, phrases, etc. language restrictions gender restrictions relevant authors, articles or journals article preference (few very relevant, reviews only, comprehensive) years to be searched age group restrictions animal or human subjects number of citations expected Turnaround Time Individual searches are usually completed within 48 hours. Rush service is available for patient care. There is no extra charge for bonafide emergencies. Delivery Results are delivered as a RefShare database and Word document. Payment Search fees may be paid by cash, check payable to Thomas Jefferson University, or by interdepartmental charge code.
