Faculty often place textbooks, articles, and media on reserve for student use. Use the library catalog to see what items are on reserve for your courses. Then, visit the Circulation Desk on the first floor to request reserve items.
Items on reserve can be borrowed for four hours at a time.
Placing Items on Reserve
Faculty members interested in placing personal and/or library materials on reserve for their students' use should contact Roberta Pierce to make arrangements. Please be aware that there are copyright restrictions that can impact what items can be placed on reserve.
Once reserve items are in place, the items will remain on reserve for the duration of one semester. Items will be removed from reserves unless the professor indicates that he/she would like to keep items reserved for an additional semester.
Note: Items obtained through Interlibrary Loan cannot be placed on reserve. If we do not own an item that you would like to place on reserve, contact Michael DiCamillo to request a purchase. Factors such as cost, available funds, and potential demand are some of the considerations library personnel use to determine material purchases.
