The free Learn@TJU app, introduced in 2016, gave Jefferson students, faculty, and staff convenient mobile access to TJU campus and academic resources–including links to key web sites, calendars, contact information, and news. Updates to the app have included social media integration, emergency contact information, and the introduction of role-based personas for navigating the content. The latest version of the app features a new Resident persona, allowing users to focus on content curated specifically for Jefferson residents.
Working with graduate medical education faculty and the Jefferson Clinical Research Institute (JCRI), the Center for Teaching & Learning updated the app to address feedback from residents about the difficulties associated with negotiating research at Jefferson.
The new Research tile streamlines access to three broad content areas:
- Education focuses on learning modules developed by the JCRI, including the Clinical Road Map, an introduction to Clinical Research at Jefferson.
- Important Dates allows residents to easily locate a calendar of upcoming research presentations across the enterprise.
- Research Mentoring links learners interested in conducting research with potential mentors.
If you’re new to Learn@TJU, search for “Learn at TJU” in the Apple Store or Google Play (Android version) and give it a try.
