Wireless Service in the Library and Computer Classrooms
The Library lends wireless-equipped laptops.
IS&T (formerly, Jeff-IT) provides wireless access points on all four floors of Scott Memorial Library, and in the Jefferson Alumni Hall LRC and Open Access Classroom, among other campus locations. Wireless accounts are required for access, but are free to Jeffersonians. Wireless accounts are managed by IS&T.
Currently, the wireless service offers access to the Internet and other open applications such as JeffShare, JeffCal and JeffMail. Instant messaging (AIM, ICQ, MSN Instant Messenger), Telnet, SSH and FTP are also supported. Applications on the secure University network are accessible ONLY if you have Remote Access Portal privileges; the wireless network is part of the separate Academic & Research Network (ARN).
- Visit the IS&T Network Service site for more information.
- Visit the IS&T support site for further help options.
If you wish to borrow wireless laptops or iPads in Scott Library, call 215-503-86994, stop by the 2nd floor Service Desk, or send email to LRC@lists.jefferson.edu.
