The 2014 edition, containing data for 2013, of the popular citation impact tracker, Journal Citation Reports (JCR), has been released and is now available as part of Scott Library’s online subscription to the service. JCR tracks journals in over 200 disciplines, rating the influence and impact of each journal in the context of its discipline.
Check the release notes for weekly updates and a list of journals that were not included in this year’s JCR because of abnormal citation activity.
The 2014 edition of JCR includes:
- 10,927 of the world’s most highly cited, peer reviewed journals in 237 disciplines
- 82 countries represented
- 246 journals receiving their first Journal Impact Factor
- 39 journals were suppressed due to abnormal citation activity
